Fort Polk unit to deploy to Kazakhstan
FORT POLK, La. (AP) - An infantry unit from Fort Polk departs Monday for an international training exercise in Kazakhstan.
Soldiers from C Company, 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team are participating in a three-week exercise called “Steppe Eagle,” that will have them training with Kazakh forces as well as representatives from other countries. . . (more)
