The AFP version – North Korea warns of ‘all-out war’

Seoul (AFP) – North Korea on Saturday issued a fresh warning of an “all-out war”, urging the United States to stop military drills and what it described as “nuclear blackmail”.

In a thinly veiled threat to strike the United States, the North’s National Defence Commission (NDC), chaired by leader Kim Jong-Un, said the US government must withdraw its policy of hostility against the North if it wants peace on both the Korean peninsula and the “US mainland”.

“(The United States) must bear it in mind that reckless provocative acts would meet our retaliatory strikes and lead to an all-out war of justice for a final showdown with the United States,” a spokesman of the NDC was quoted as saying in a statement carried by Pyongyang’s Korean Central News Agency.

“We emphasize again that the United States must withdraw various measures aimed to isolate and strangulate us. Dependent upon this are… peace and security, not only on the Korean peninsula but the US mainland as well.” . . . (more)

DPRK version – CPRK Secretariat Slams U.S., S. Korea for Their DPRK-Targeted Large-Scale Joint Naval Drills

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) — The U.S. and the south Korean puppet group finally kicked off the DPRK-targeted large-scale joint naval maneuvers from October 10 despite the DPRK’s strong warning and concern at home and abroad.

The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued information bulletin No. 1045 on Friday.

It said:

The joint naval maneuvers are dangerous nuclear war saber-rattling against the DPRK as they are under way at a time when the U.S. and the puppet south Korean group confirmed and made public the “tailored deterrence strategy” aimed at making a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK, and the U.S. approved the Japanese reactionaries’ “right to collective self-defense”.

The situation goes to prove that the U.S. and the puppet group’s war moves against the DPRK have reached the reckless military phase of practical implementation beyond the phase of threat and blackmail.

The war drills show that the U.S.-Japan-south Korea tripartite military alliance has developed into the nuclear war alliance and has become operational in actuality. . . .  (more)

The US has big guns there(story)

  • “The two-day drill involving a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier alongside South Korean and Japanese vessels began off the southern coast of the Korean peninsula…”
  • “Besides the nuclear-powered carrier USS George Washington, guided-missile ships, anti-submarine helicopters and early warning aircraft have also been mobilised for the exercise…”
  • Japan will deploy two escort vessels, the Ise and the Haruyuki, for the drills which will focus on search and rescue exercises, Kawano said, adding Japan would be involved on Thursday and Friday.

It is totally disgusting of these warmongers and capitalist bullies from the USA and their equally bribed sidekicks, South Korea and Japan to continue teasing North Korea with these drills.
North Korea wants peace and to be left alone and not constantly provoked by these capitalist evil, bandits.
If the US does get itself involved in a war, it and the others will only have themselves to blame for having started it, through their repressive provocations and bullying.

I still don’t know why the US insists on 6 party talks when DPRK wants direct 1-to-1 talks. 50 year stand off over nothing!
Probably it all to keep the US military industry going at full speed. Just like all the military “aid” US doles out.
