… sorry for delay!

I had left some links which went into spam. Since Markey had moved from House to Senate some of the links were dead. Found text on the Senate site but the pdf for whistleblowers, which I linked to in previous comment, was actually a different case. Those were important letters to the NRC and show why gov documents need to be held on other independent sites as backups.
Please look in spam for comment about 8 hours ago as had useful links.

Thanks. I STILL never found the Markey original letters to the NRC, though I got to looking at something else and stopped looking. It sounds very very important. Thanks for the star. Now it seems that McCain may not have been the primary person to push through the Rio Tinto Resolution Copper mine or he is one of several. It took other people to help push this through. Several are Mormons. One is Mormon plus a former Rio Tinto-Rossing DC lobbyist! I am wondering if it is more of a mind-set of conquest than even corruption. Plus Rio Tinto seems the center of much bad in the UK too. It amazes and disgusts me that the USG continues to be so mean to the American Indians. They don’t ask for much like they could. Happy solstice around now.

Another irritation – why are un-healthy chain fast food outlets allowed on reservations to poison everyone??

On Markey: try gov’t attic –

Thanks. That’s a good find on the link. I guess that reservations are allowed food choice like everyone else? Decades ago some US universities changed to fast food and that meant NO food choice though it still beat the options of what could be found at French universities – day old baguettes to build jaw muscles with who knows what stuck in between. That beat the fast food served to French boarding houses which caused people to literally throw up and included such wonders as cow brains and tripes (aka intestines). Even the govt. bureaucrats eat brains in the cantine. McDo has been criticized so much that in some places McDo is actually healthier now than other restaurants because they don’t allow transfats and supposedly source locally. However, if they are sourcing locally how come Japanese McDo is sourcing US fries? I do know that the Mississippi Choctaw actually make a lot of the plastic spoons and things for McDo, if not all of them or they used to. Under the old chief they were a major employer of people off of the reservation. The Choctaw casinos used to have the best food anywhere at their buffets and real true food. They also do not allow alcohol in the casinos. I heard rumors of drugs and violence which I would find of most concern. Out west the big cause of poison is the uranium mining or former mines. Dust blowing everywhere and with in situ they are actually spraying the radium on the fields. Crow Butte is supposed to have made all sorts of health problems and the ones in South Dakota and the Navajo have problems from the U mining. Also google the old Rio Tinto mine and see what that does to the water – acid and turns red and also the TENORMs. Surely McDo sourced food is better than local full of radium and uranium (except it will be somewhat contaminated)? I don’t worry much about what I eat anymore because I figure they will kill us with all of the rad waste anyway. I know that’s not what I’m supposed to think. I mean I do think it’s important to get vitamins to block the rad waste – that’s the only hope, but I tend to think a lot of the concerns are to distract from the rad elephant in the room. Sugar is also a bigger problem than we realize.

You will like this. It shows that people used to have more environmental awareness. Actually found it reading how the Australian natives knew that areas with uranium caused illness. http://miningawareness.wordpress.com/2014/12/20/a-medieval-response-to-environmental-pollution-in-northern-italy/

Thanks for the reblog. You reminded me that in fact I have been boycotting McDo for over 2 decades – so long that it became a habit. I forgot I was boycotting because McDo is so expensive where I live now that I don’t eat it just because it’s a rip-off. It was never my fav anyway. My boycott had to do with poor service but is a long and interesting story. The poor service set off a chain of bad events but I was helped by a person whose goodness was angelic. Could have been an angel. Speaking of which can you find your Santa hat for Cuttlefish?
