Looking for France’s rad waste in Flamanville

5 05 2017

. . . with GoogleEarth

Fukushima’s rad waste has been in the news and after dwelling on that yesterday we thought we’d try the same GoogleEarth tour for France that worked so well in Japan.

We think rad waste sites should be easy to spot since they are so square. Square without fail. You can ask the CENTER FOR LAND USE INTERPRETATION

So let’s look around – the small thumbnail image on the right will be the copy of the image with no text or graphics.

BONUS!

Let’s look at Manche Storage Center in Northern France. The official name is Centre de stockage de la Manche in Digulleville in Normandy.

It’s a waste storage center. But harmless waste isn’t stored. Nuke waste is and toxic waste is.

<<< think of those big bags of rad waste in Japan.

That’s a big farm region. In France one in every two farms produces cereals. The French Crop Trust says they want to protect agriculture. We have a suggestion for them. Stop with all the leaky nuke plants and nuke dump sites next to your crops!

The construction site is for the new EPR reactor that has the defective reactor pressure vessel which EDF-Areva are trying to prove is ok, when it’s not ok. I have long predicted that if it goes online that it will wipe out much of Europe. That was before the defective reactor pressure vessel but simply based on shoddy construction of base-mat, etc. One man was killed on site because a crane operator was high on cannibis. France refuses to close Fessenheim until the new Flamanville goes online. Those sticks looked sort of like chimneys with shadows.

This may be the big one. If you look at Centre de stockage de la Manche you can find it. It’s a bit farther north than Flamaville: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_de_stockage_de_la_Manche
