The US is the puppeteer of Thailand’s dictatorship

We are watching the world corporate media squirm as they try to avoid using the word “democracy” in reporting on the uprising in Thailand. Another third world outpost for capitalism suddenly is bucking and not taking the bit offered by colonial masters. Some further reports that are worth viewing –

Massacre in Thailand: Obama’s Bloody Hands

When the White House is quiet as protestors are butchered in the streets of Bangkok Thailand, suspicions are raised. Silence often equals complicacy. One can only imagine what the U.S.’ response would be to a Venezuelan government slaughter: the U.S. media and Obama would loudly condemn such an act, in contrast to the muted response to Thailand’s blood bath.

Thailand needs democracy!

We are deeply concerned about the situation in Thailand, where military-backed Prime Minister Ahbisit Vejjajiva has declared a state of emergency and started a bloody crackdown amid escalating protests calling for fresh elections.

The Thai government has closed down all opposition media and given sweeping new powers to the security forces to prepare for a violent crackdown on the Red Shirt protesters.

Thai troops are using excessive force including tanks and live ammunition, against pro-democracy demonstrators in Bangkok….(more)
