Dail Mail [UK] –
North Korea ‘fires ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan’, claims Tokyo, days after Biden ‘laughed off’ their previous test as ‘business as usual’

“North Korea has fired what is believed to be a ballistic missile, Japan’s Coast Guard said on Wednesday – its first under the Biden administration, and a move likely to increase tensions after it fired its first cruise missiles at the weekend.

The NHK news service reported the Japanese findings on Wednesday.

U.N. Security Council resolutions ban North Korea from engaging in any ballistic activities, but not cruise missile tests. Cruise missiles fly at a lower altitude and slower speed than ballistic missiles, making them easier to intercept, but they are still considered more accurate.

It [sic] Wednesday’s missiles are confirmed to be ballistic, it will mark a significant increase in hostilities.   . . .  (more)

The AFP version – North Korea warns of ‘all-out war’

Seoul (AFP) – North Korea on Saturday issued a fresh warning of an “all-out war”, urging the United States to stop military drills and what it described as “nuclear blackmail”.

In a thinly veiled threat to strike the United States, the North’s National Defence Commission (NDC), chaired by leader Kim Jong-Un, said the US government must withdraw its policy of hostility against the North if it wants peace on both the Korean peninsula and the “US mainland”.

“(The United States) must bear it in mind that reckless provocative acts would meet our retaliatory strikes and lead to an all-out war of justice for a final showdown with the United States,” a spokesman of the NDC was quoted as saying in a statement carried by Pyongyang’s Korean Central News Agency.

“We emphasize again that the United States must withdraw various measures aimed to isolate and strangulate us. Dependent upon this are… peace and security, not only on the Korean peninsula but the US mainland as well.” . . . (more)

DPRK version – CPRK Secretariat Slams U.S., S. Korea for Their DPRK-Targeted Large-Scale Joint Naval Drills

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) — The U.S. and the south Korean puppet group finally kicked off the DPRK-targeted large-scale joint naval maneuvers from October 10 despite the DPRK’s strong warning and concern at home and abroad.

The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued information bulletin No. 1045 on Friday.

It said:

The joint naval maneuvers are dangerous nuclear war saber-rattling against the DPRK as they are under way at a time when the U.S. and the puppet south Korean group confirmed and made public the “tailored deterrence strategy” aimed at making a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK, and the U.S. approved the Japanese reactionaries’ “right to collective self-defense”.

The situation goes to prove that the U.S. and the puppet group’s war moves against the DPRK have reached the reckless military phase of practical implementation beyond the phase of threat and blackmail.

The war drills show that the U.S.-Japan-south Korea tripartite military alliance has developed into the nuclear war alliance and has become operational in actuality. . . .  (more)

The US and South Korean militaries on Monday began a two-week exercise aimed at testing defences against the communist North, insisting it was defensive in nature but Pyongyang called it a drill for a preemptive nuclear attack.

Pravda Reports on the effect of a high-altitude  nuke

A Nightmare Scenario for America

. . .[ if someone exploded a nuclear weapon 300 miles up in the atmosphere above the country] It would involve every single state on the continent. It would even involve vast parts of Mexico and Canada.

No missle defense could prevent it. It is commonly referred to as EMP, electromagnetic pulse explosion. The energy released by such a weapon “would interact with the Earth’s magnetic field, producing an extremely fast and powerful electromagnetic burst that rushes to the ground at 94% the speed of light, slamming everything on the ground with as much as 50,000 volts per square meter at high amps.”
