Recapping Jay Cullen’s Nuke Industry Ties

11 11 2015

From Mining Awareness blog posts (a mash-up) –

Jay Cullen, has received $630,000 from MEOPAR to monitor the Pacific for Fukushima radiation from 2014 to 2017. MEOPAR stands for Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR).http://communications.uvic.ca/releases/release.php?display=release&id=1427

Dr. Robert Walker, Chairman of the Board of MEOPAR, has been deeply involved in the nuclear industry. He was simultaneously President and CEO of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, until almost the exact day that Dr. Richard Wilcox called foul about the ties between Dr. Walker and the Fukushima radiation testing. You can see in the internet archive, Wayback Machine, that Walker was still listed as both MEOPAR Board Chair AND President & CEO Canadian Nuclear Laboratories on Sept. 21, 2015https://web.archive.org/web/20150921042733/http://meopar.ca/about-meopar/board-of-directors/ According to Walker’s Linkedin page, he became CEO of Canadian Nuclear Labs starting in November of 2014. However, before that he was President and CEO of the AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd):https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_Energy_of_Canada_Limited from Oct. of 2011 to March of 2015. Before that he was Sr. VP, Nuclear Labs, AECL (11-2010 to 09-2011) and before that he was CEO of Defence Research and Development Canada (from 2005 to 2010) and was also Assistant Deputy Minister, Dept. of National Defence, in the same period. He started with Defence Research and Development Canada in 1994.

WHO FUNDS MEOPAR?

MEOPAR is funded by the Government of Canada’s Networks of pinoccio Centres of Excellence Program and was established in 2012. “Networks of Centres of Excellence of Canada”, “An initiative of CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC”. http://www.nce-rce.gc.ca/index_eng.asp

Who is nuke shill Maggie Koerth-Baker?

7 01 2014

Yesterday this writer, Maggie Koerth-Baker, at Boing Boing posted a Fukushima harm-denying item with scant comments and most of them agreeing.

That’s odd since people in west Canada and the Pacific Northwest of the US are in near panic over the current arrival of a huge radioactive plume from Japan. They are paying strict attention to weird marine deaths and odd behavior and off-migration-paths and off-sea-level-habitation of familiar marine life. They are paying attention to the disappearance of fish from common fishing grounds and radioactive beaches and pelicans starving and pink salmon turning yellow. They are paying attention to whales with tumors and (human) pregnancies going wrong.

Many stories –

Who is Maggie Koerth-Baker? She says she’s an editor at the NY Times’ Magazine. She may be that but she writes for Shell Oil Co..

See this SHELL OIL “sponsored” article in National Geographic – on solar power.

For NYT – Why Rational People Buy Into Conspiracy Theories
rebuttal – Conspiracy theories: they’re all in your heads!and Daily Kos.

. . . and here’s a wackadoodle article on how your energy choices don’t matter – Green Lifestyle Choices Don’t Change the Systems That Make Fossil Fuels Attractive

– it doesn’t have a big Shell Oil logo on it but it looks like a PR item.

This is the question:

How much money can a person enjoy when to get it they have to put readers in deadly peril from radiation, to promote the deadly nuclear power industry that immorally weaponizes their “fuel” against all international conventions and pollutes this Earth like crazy and to imply anyone subjected to 50+ years of fallout and concerned about the resultant cancers, deaths, immune system impairments and mystery diseases are all a bunch of impressionable paranoid conspiracy freaks?

Shameless New York Times Gives Ink to Nuke Shill

Wall Street whore, David Ropeik, is allowed top spot on the editorial page Monday at the Gray Lady.

As Fukushima stands on the brink, literally, and Kevin Blanch gets a little too much attention from people that matter the Times knuckles down and fires its big gun. Sort of damp powder produced this tiny  Ξ puff Ξ

Fear vs. Radiation: The Mismatch

Let’s take a look at this Earth-traitor. Source Watch says he parlayed his pole-dancing at Harvard with clients like DuPont, Entergy, Dow, American Nuclear Society, etc. etc.  We’re sure he had lots of their dollars tucked into his thong. Dollars dripping in children’s blood.

Fiends.
