TEPCO – new leak has spilt 20,000 litres of radioactive coolant at the Nuke Ruins Site

The Big Wobble
TEPCO says new leak has spilt 20,000 litres of radioactive coolant at the stricken Fukushima Nuclear Plant: It is now almost 7 years since Prime Minister Shinzo Abe declared everything is “under control”

“Tokyo Electric Power Company says coolant has seeped out from an underground frozen soil wall built around its crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.”
“In addition to water that was used to cool melted nuclear fuel at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 reactors, groundwater also has flowed into those buildings through cracks. The concentration of radioactive substances in highly contaminated water is about 100 million times that of the contaminated water that has been processed and stored in tanks.

Former TEPCO exec denies delaying anti-tsunami steps before nuclear crisis – Japan Today

“I had no intention to buy time and I’m offended by the claim that I put off taking measures,” said Muto, who is charged with professional negligence resulting in deaths and injuries in connection with one of the world’s worst nuclear crises.

Along with Muto, another former vice president Ichiro Takekuro, 72, and former chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata, 78, were also indicted in 2016 for allegedly failing to take measures to prevent the disaster.

The indictment of the three was mandated in 2015 by an independent panel of citizens after prosecutors decided against laying charges.

Of course, he will deny knowledge of stone markers set up all over the coast of Japan, marking the high water point of previous tsunamis.

And he will also…

URGENT: Fukushima – Melted Nuclear Fuel Corium About to Burst Containment (+updates)

Melted Nuclear Fuel Corium Soon Outside Containment at Fukushima Reactor Units

New reports coming out saying that all of the nuclear fuel at reactor unit 1 have melted and broken the bottom of the steel pressure vessel inside the reactor. The corium (melted nuclear fuel) is now on the bottom of the concrete below and is eating it’s way down further and soon it will reach the containment vessel steel that is the last defence before completely outside.

Reports say that not only is this happening in reactor unit 1 but also in Unit’s 2 and 3. In the light of this it has again shown the seriousness of the Fukushima Disaster. . .  ( more + graphics)

Fukushima Radiation Risks ‘Severely Underestimated’ –

Greenpeace says ” . . .   simulation maps of potential accidents at Japan’s nuclear plants – used in the development of nuclear emergency response efforts – “are completely inadequate, and have not been updated since the Fukushima disaster.”

On this story –  Nuclear Experts: “We have to be prepared for the worst case scenario”

 starspire says:

I don’t know anything about this nuclear situation, but it seems to me that, if Mr. Gunderson’s modeling is correct, that a huge explosion occuring when the fuel hits the water table would do the following:

1) Expel a quantity of radioactivity that could substantially reduce life in the Northern Hemisphere

2) Poison the entire acquifer in Japan and so the Country would be uninhabitable, crashing the third largest economy

3) Creat a giant radioactive Tsunami that could hit the West Coast of the US and Mexico.

Maybe I am wrong. There are no scenarios posted anywhere that I am able to find online. Are there any websites that post worse-case scenarios? The Russians built a barrier, and all of the guys became really sick or died. This is probably why no one wants to build a barrier in Fukushima.
