During the events of 3-11 and after, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton communicated to US officials and her inner circle about the nuclear disaster at Fukushima. While she tried desperately to keep the related e-mails secret, because she illegally held them on a private server some of them were made public under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request . Another batch was released Jan. 31, 2015 (Batch #2 here).
The e-mails about Fukushima are highly redacted and many seem to be missing. Nuke Pro points out she sent e-mails with messages about telephoning some parties – presumably so there would be no record of the communication.
