This explosion is bigger than last night’s explosion. I was thinking it could just be a gas release. But there’s no fireball? Officials said that a big earthquake could break the chunk of land free. I figure these explosions could also crack the mountainside.

Where’s the lava going at p0:58?😵 You can see the lava is falling into the dip faster than the other side’s moving. The right side isn’t getting higher from the quick moving lava on the left. I even slowed the playback speed 25% of the original speed.

In case this comes true – good bye from FC in advance!
Even going to high ground nearby would only result in being surrounded by turbulent sea, minus fish to eat and no drinking water. Just miserable death would await within days of huddling on 1-10 acres of hilltop sticking out next to some other crowded foodless, waterless hilltops.

You don’t want that to happen. That’s one of the ways geologists theorize the big tsunami will be created. Part of the cone will crack off and expose the lava to sea water. The huge explosion will split the island in two along the big crack created by the 1971 eruption.

Just checked to find out that the sun rises at 0756 Canary Islands time. Looks like they already went through time change on 31 October. That’s why sunrise is so late.

The reason the sun rises so late in the Canarry Islands is because they are on central European time and have been since 1940. Before that they were GMT-1.
